Disaster Preparedness Training

The Volunteer Center of Rhode Island (VCRI) recruits and refers individuals and groups who are interested in volunteering as part of the disaster mitigation process.  We recommend that those interested in disaster response be trained prior to a disaster or other community crisis that volunteers may be called upon to serve. 

A variety of volunteer trainings are sponsored or provided in our state through agencies like VCRI, the American Red Cross - RI Chapter, United Way of RI and others.
